What to Expect From Start to Finish

A clear, step-by-step countertop process that keeps your project moving and eliminates surprises along the way.
No Surprises. No Guesswork.

Getting new countertops should feel straightforward

Most clients just want to know what happens next, how long it takes, and whether everything will come together the way they imagined. That’s a reasonable expectation and it’s exactly what we’re set up to deliver.

This is how our process works from the first conversation to final installation, so you always know where your project stands.

Step one

Consultation & Planning

We start by understanding your space, your goals, and how you plan to use your kitchen or bathroom. This conversation sets the direction for everything that follows.

Bring rough measurements, inspiration photos, or just an idea of what you want. We’ll guide you through layout decisions, material options, and realistic expectations for your space.

Walk-ins are welcome; appointments guarantee personal time

Step Two

Material Selection

Next, you’ll choose your surface. We help you compare granite, quartz, marble, quartzite, and other materials based on durability, maintenance, and appearance. Side by side, in person, against real samples.

This is also where you finalize the details that define how your countertop looks and lives.

This is where your project starts to feel real. See and touch the actual slab you’re choosing,  not a small sample, but the full piece of stone.

Step Three

Templating & Measurements

Once your cabinets are installed and ready, one of our trained specialists comes to your home to take precise digital measurements of your space. This step is critical. Accurate templating ensures your countertops fit correctly, seams are placed intentionally, and every cutout aligns perfectly with your sinks and appliances.
No guessing. No shortcuts. Every measurement is confirmed before a single cut is made.

Step Four

Fabrication

Your selected material is cut, shaped, and finished in our own shop right here in Findlay, Ohio. We don’t outsource this work,  our own craftsmen complete every edge profile, sink cutout, and final polish.

Every piece is prepared to match the measurements taken during templating, and inspected before it ever leaves our facility.

This is where craftsmanship matters most. The quality of your countertop is determined here, before it ever arrives at your home.

Step Five

Installation

Installation is scheduled once fabrication is complete. Our own crew delivers and installs your countertops,  the same team that fabricated them, not a third-party contractor.

We align seams precisely, secure each section, and ensure everything sits level and clean. Most installations are completed in a single day with minimal disruption to your home.

We treat your home the way we’d want our own treated. Everything gets cleaned up before we leave.

Step Six

Final Review

Before we wrap up, we walk through everything with you. We check every detail, answer any final questions, and make sure you’re fully satisfied with the result. We also review care and maintenance recommendations for your specific material so you know how to keep it looking its best for years to come.

We’re done only when you’re completely happy with your countertops. That’s not a marketing line,  it’s how every project closes.

Common Questions

Things People Ask Before Getting Started

We’ve answered these hundreds of times. If you have a question that isn’t here, just call or stop in.  We’re happy to talk through it

Not at all. A hand sketch with rough dimensions is completely fine. Many clients come in with just an idea and photos from their phone. We’ll help you figure out the details from there.

Your cabinets need to be fully and permanently installed before we can template. We can’t take accurate measurements off temporary cabinets or framing. Once they’re in, we typically schedule templating within a few business days.

From completed templating to installation, fabrication typically takes one to two weeks depending on material and current project volume. We’ll give you a realistic timeline at the time of your consultation so you can plan accordingly.

No. Our own crew handles installation — the same team that fabricated your countertops. This means better quality control, clearer communication, and accountability all the way through to completion.

Yes — and we strongly encourage it. Our showroom in Findlay has full slabs on display. Seeing and touching the exact piece of stone you’re choosing makes a significant difference compared to selecting from a small sample chip.

We serve all of Northwest Ohio including Findlay, Lima, Bowling Green, Perrysburg, Tiffin, Sandusky, Ottawa, Upper Sandusky, Marion, Toledo, and surrounding communities. If you’re not sure whether we cover your area, give us a call.
